Peer Review Process

Overview

Rumah Jurnal Quo Vadis implements a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific contribution of every manuscript submitted for publication.


1. Initial Submission

Authors submit manuscripts through the Online Journal System (OJS).

All submissions must:

  • Follow the journal template.
  • Comply with author guidelines.
  • Be original and unpublished.
  • Fall within the journal's scope.

2. Editorial Screening

The Editorial Team evaluates:

  • Relevance to the journal scope.
  • Manuscript format compliance.
  • Writing quality.
  • Scientific contribution.
  • Originality of the work.

Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected before review.


3. Plagiarism Screening

All manuscripts undergo plagiarism checking using plagiarism detection software.

Manuscripts with excessive similarity may be:

  • Returned for revision.
  • Rejected by the editor.

4. Double-Blind Peer Review

This journal applies a Double-Blind Peer Review system.

In this process:

  • Reviewers do not know the identity of authors.
  • Authors do not know the identity of reviewers.

Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.


5. Reviewer Evaluation Criteria

Reviewers assess:

  • Research methodology
  • Data analysis

  • Clarity of presentation

6. Editorial Decision

Based on reviewer recommendations, the Editor may decide:

  • Resubmit for Review
  • Reject Submission

7. Revision Process

Authors revise manuscripts according to reviewer comments.

A response document explaining revisions should be submitted together with the revised manuscript.


8. Final Decision

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision after evaluating:

  • Reviewer recommendations.
  • Revision quality.
  • Editorial standards.

9. Copyediting and Publication

Accepted manuscripts proceed to:

  1. Copyediting
  2. Layout Editing
  3. Proofreading
  4. DOI Assignment
  5. Online Publication
